Focused progression. Every rep counted.
The Forehand Lab is a measured, drill-by-drill system for recreational tennis players. Every rep tracked, so progress stops being a feeling and becomes a number.
Most coaching is a little bit of everything. A group clinic here, a lesson on volleys there, a week someone mentions your grip. Nothing lands. Nothing sticks.
You've been playing for years. You know, quietly and privately, that you need a structured training program to make progress. There's a lot to work on but you can't work on everything at once.
Working on everything at once is how you stay a 3.5 forever. Depth beats breadth. Expect weeks, not days. This isn't a quick fix. Stay on one stroke long enough to produce a change you can feel in a match. Once that stroke is where you want it, move to the next one.
So, pick the stroke. We'll work on it until it's yours.
Four phases.
Every cycle runs the same shape. Your intake decides if it's a fit. Your baseline film decides the focus. Your reps close the gap.
Four deliverables
No dashboards, no modules, no content library to "unlock." Just the coaching you actually came for.
One coach. Every review.

I picked up a racquet at 16 and walked onto a D3 college team two years later. A little natural talent, a lot of iteration.
Three conference titles later, I'd learned something: feel won't carry you. You need a system. I borrowed mine from engineering. Measure, iterate, repeat.
The Forehand Lab is that system, built for rec players who want to improve the way I did: by watching what actually happens on court, not what it feels like.

In case you were wondering.
Why only one stroke?
Because depth beats breadth. Most coaching spreads attention across a whole game and moves nothing meaningfully. A focused cycle on one stroke produces a change you can feel in a match.
What if I want to work on my backhand, serve, or volley?
Pick any one. The program is the same structure regardless of stroke. You choose at intake.
How much time per week does it take?
Plan on 2–3 court sessions plus about thirty minutes reviewing your app report and Discord back-and-forth. Players who put in less still improve, but the gap shows.
What level is this for?
Recreational adults, roughly NTRP 3.0 to 4.5. If you've never played before, this isn't the right fit yet.
Does the app analyze my technique?
No, and that's deliberate. The app measures drill performance: whether the ball landed in your target zone, how deep, how consistently across the set. Technique is what I coach; the app counts. Most tennis-AI tools try to grade technique and mostly guess wrong. This one sticks to what a camera and a computer can actually measure.
What does "Founding Member" actually mean?
You're in the first cohort on The Forehand Lab. $300/year, locked for life. Once the cohort closes, regular pricing goes to $600, and it goes up from there. A direct line to me (Discord, biweekly calls, not a ticket queue). And a real say in what gets built next: the drills in the library, what the app measures, the features that ship first.
Is the refund really full?
Yes. Any reason, within 60 days, no questions. That's long enough to know whether it's working. I'd rather you leave than stay unconvinced.
What do I need to film with?
A phone held on a tripod or your best friend, shot from the baseline. That's it.
Pick a stroke. Fix it properly.
Fifteen minutes on the phone. No pitch. We'll agree it's a fit, or we won't.
